Five Minute Friday - Afraid

Gosh!  What a title!

Today's Word: AFRAID

Go

I wasn't sure what to think when I saw this title.
My first reaction was, 'this is a bit of a downer on a Friday' until I thought... 'what's the point in having all these God-fearing women around you if you can't share what you're afraid of?'.  I suppose every idea has two or more approaches.

Kat, from Inspired to Action, has been talking a lot about finding a mentor lately, and I'm in favour.  I think we need that sounding board in a woman who's 'been there, done that'.  There are so many things I'm afraid of - not parenting well enough to raise a God-fearing & loving child, or not being good enough at my job even though I've spent all this money on studies, or being a failure as a wife and home-maker.  I believe we can find support through a mentor - someone who can tell us we're not all that bad, actually, and that the child is going to survive the mistake you made, or the office can wait two second while you look something up, Jenn.

I know Lisa-Jo does this for us, on a daily basis, but to have that special person, the one you really connect with, is important.  That special person is the one that allays our fears.

So in summary - I'm looking for the following:
A Parenting Mentor (a woman that has raised her children to be successful, God-Fearing adults)
A Blogging Mentor (a woman that can show me how to earn money through blogging & get sponsors)
A Homemaking Mentor (a woman that can show me how to organise my home and my time to best support my family)
A Wife Mentor (a woman that will listen to me moan and groan and gently but firmly clip me over the ear-hole)

STOP

I may need more than one...

Do you have a mentor that you rely on?  How did you find this person/ people?
