I'm not sure how that happened, actually.
I was watching him walk to the car yesterday, all decked out in his high school finery and thought, "What happened to the cheeky four-year old? Who is this young man?"
He now has a four-year old sister!
The Bunny is really loving the new class she's in. She's doing all her own things now too (last year she wanted me to unpack her bag and put it in her locker). She keeps asking when she's going to be five, and I'm just thinking, "Stay 4 my treasure - it's a good age."
If you had asked me (15 years ago) whether this would be my life, I would have laughed at you.
I was resolute in my decision to never get married and never have children. Now... I wish I'd started earlier. I suppose it helps that one look at the Handsome Hubby made procreation seem logical and natural.
Angel Boy may not be mine by birth, but he's My Boy!
And the Bunny is just the most precious thing in my life. If I could have more like these two I would.
Although I'm pretty much over nappies... for ever.
Unless MamaBird needs a hand, because she's got FAR TOO MANY nappies coming her way.
If I have to chose a moment to reflect on, from this week, I'd have to pick two:
My cousin's wedding on Saturday, which was lovely and beautiful;
and my babies going back to school, and enjoying it.
I hope you have something to reflect on this week that will make you feel warm and fuzzy.
Found you on SITS. Sounds like a good week.
ReplyDeleteMy son is 16 and my daughter is going to be 13 next month. I can't believe myself how fast my kids have grown.
4 is a good age. enjoy it :)
My kids are 14-22, so 4 is a long way in our rear-view mirror. We're starting to look forward to grandkids (if anyone gets back to dating in our house). Enjoy this time while you've got it, but there are lots of great times ahead, too. If you love being a mom it shows. I hope you keep right on loving it.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes. Stopping by from SITS.
My kids are 8-23. I have grand children so I still get to have little ones in the house!
ReplyDeleteStopping in from SITS. My oldest daughter just turned 5, and I swear the time FLIES by so quickly! I sometimes look at her baby pictures and think that this was only yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI think I might be weird, lol. My munchkin is only 1 and I already get teary eyed when I go through clothes that she no longer fits from a few months ago. I'm always asking her "when did you get so big?" and "whjo told you that you can walk?". :-) I have NO idea how I will handle it when she goes to High School or College! :-)
